Love your neighborhood but running out of room? An addition can be a smart alternative to moving, especially when you already have land, good neighbors and a home you know well. Sandrini Construction Inc has designed and built additions for families in Chehalis, Centralia and across Lewis County since 1976.
Types of Additions We Build
- Bedroom and bathroom additions
- Family rooms and great rooms
- Primary suites
- Kitchen expansions and bump-outs
One Contractor From Foundation to Finish
An addition combines several kinds of work: excavation and concrete for the foundation, framing and roofing, and the interior finish work that makes it blend with the rest of the house. Since Sandrini Construction does concrete, new-home construction and remodeling, we can manage every stage under one contract. That makes for fewer handoffs, clearer accountability and an addition that looks like it was always part of the house.
Permits, Setbacks and Site Conditions
Additions need permits and must meet setback, height and septic or sewer requirements. Those rules differ between the City of Chehalis, the City of Centralia, the other cities and unincorporated Lewis County. Rural properties near Napavine and Winlock may also have well, septic or drainage factors that affect where an addition can go. We handle the permits, and we’ll help you work through these questions early so the design suits your lot and the rules.
Designed for Our Climate
Western Washington rain affects how an addition should be built. The roof tie-in, flashing, drainage and crawl space ventilation all have to be done right so the new section and the old house stay dry where they meet. After nearly 50 years of building locally, we know where those details matter.
